Introduction
It’s vital that staff have the skills to use word processing software competently if they are to produce professional-looking business documents that protect and enhance the reputation of their organisation.
This course will help complete beginners master the basics of using Word software to create letters, reports and other business correspondence.
Who is the course for?
Word 2007 Introductory has been specifically developed for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of word processing software. The course will also be helpful for those with very basic experience in previous versions of Word who are new to Word 2007.
This course is appropriate for staff at all levels within any business sector, there are no formal entry requirements and employees do not need any prior experience.

Course features
This course provides an ideal introduction to creating professional-looking business documents using Word 2007.
Featuring clear instructions and reproductions of actual Word 2007 screens, the course takes you step-by-step through the process of creating and editing a document. As your confidence grows, you’ll have chance to practise using more advanced Word tools to change the look of your work - you’ll learn how to use text formatting tools to change the font, size and colour of your text and Clip Art to add graphics to your document.
As you work through the course, you’ll complete a series of simple exercises and work with actual Word 2007 documents. A Word 2007 Beginners Test at the end of the course lets you practise your new skills and check that you have understood all the techniques covered. The results of this test can be printed out as a record of how well you’ve done.
You can start the course straight away and access it at any time, providing you have the use of a computer with an internet connection. The course is available for six months from the date first accessed.
