Did you know that, in 2009/10, 5.1 million working days were lost due to work place injury? Accidents can and do happen, even in working environments that appear to be safe. It's important to be aware of potential dangers and to understand their role in identifying and eliminating hazards.
This course gives you a basic understanding of the relevant laws, and how they affect both employees and employers. It covers subjects like how to identify risks, manual handling, slips and trips, fire safety, using display screen equipment and what to do in the event of an accident.
